Motor-vated Staffing Solutions T/As Automotive Recruitment Australia (ARA) is committed to the protection of information collected about visitors to our website, our candidates and our clients, in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act (1988).

This privacy policy sets out how we manage privacy in our business.

Collection of Personal Data

(ARA) may collection information about you. This information may include your full name, contact details, qualifications, accreditations, employment history and referees. This information may be gained during the process of considering you for a particular role on behalf of our clients. ARA will obtain your permission prior to providing in writing any of your personal information to our clients on your behalf.

When visiting our website information may be collected from the information you provide when registering or subscribing to a service, applying for a position, reporting of a problem or requesting further information. By applying for a position ARA have advertised, or sending your resume via our on line website, direct email or mail your application constitutes your consent to our utilisation of this information to assess your application and to allow us to carry out any reference checking, research, confirmation of qualifications and other related activities that may be required of us under applicable law, ARA may collection information from third parties or public record.

Use of personal data and disclosure of personal data

ARA holds, records, uses and discloses personally information as set out in this Privacy Policy. ARA will not disclose or utilise your personal information for any other purpose other than the intention of your application for employment. Prior to submitting your resume to a potential client in you will be advised and ARA will not disclose your information to any other party without seeking your consent. You agree that by applying for a role ARA has advertised or by providing your resume directly to any staff member or contractor at ARA you are providing us your personal information willingly. You also agree that providing your contact information (email address/phone/mobile number) we may contact you in relation to job opportunities. You agree that if you no longer want this contact you will provide us a request in writing to remove your contact information from our database and you will no longer receive emails or phone calls from us. Please note, your details will still remain on our database, however contact methods of phone number, mobile number or email address will be removed.

Your information will generally only be disclosed for the following reasons:

  • The purpose of us providing a service to you
  • Submitting of your resume and personal details to our clients for consideration for future employment.
  • If required by law or regulatory enforcement authorities if requested to do so
  • We may seek your consent to collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information for any other purpose not listed above.

If you do not provide us the required personal information, we may not be able to assist you with recruitment or job placement services.

Data Security

ARA stores your information in various formats – digital, hard copy (if we have required an interview with you). All reasonable steps are taken to protect your information from misuse, loss or unauthorised access. We have taken steps to protect your personal information including network security, passwords and other electronic barriers. If your details have been required to be printed in hard copy (for interview purposes) we retain those notes for a period of 7 years, after which time they are destroyed.

Website Cookies

ARA Website – may collect certain information if you visit our website. This information may include server address, browser type, operating system, which pages you access on our website, the amount of time you spent on our website, the date and time you visited our website, you geographical location and the type of device you utilised to access our website.

Our website may contain links to other websites via the internet, and these websites are not subject to ARA’s privacy policy and ARA cannot and does not guarantee the accuracy of other websites nor does ARA accept any responsibility for information contained with any linked site. It is your responsibility to determine those sites privacy policies.

ARA may use “cookies”. You can block cookies in your browser settings and you can clear cookies from your browser. By doing this it may effect the working of our website on your device.


ARA will respond to your written request to access any personal information within 30 days of your request. In the interest of protecting the privacy of our clients and candidates ARA must properly identify you (ie drivers’ licence or passport) before access to your information is provided.

Complaint Handling

If you have any reason to be concerned by the way in which ARA handles or protects your private information, we request you put your detailed complain in writing and emailed to the address below. Any complaints will be investigated and responded to in writing within 30 days.
